Increased reports of Salmonella in feed

12/20/19

Reports have increased of Salmonella contamination of protein-rich feedstuffs in Germany.

According to reports and analytical findings from the feed safety authorities in Germany, including the QS, Salmonella is increasingly being found in higher concentrations.

Salmonella can cause serious symptoms in animals and leads to mortality in livestock. Furthermore, meat from infected animals is not safe for human consumption. To maintain hygienic standards in feed and safeguard the wellbeing of your livestock, ADDCON recommends preserving rapeseed and soya extracts using ADDCON XL 2.0.

The product can also be used to keep drinking water systems hygienic. For usage recommendations, please visit http://www.addcon.com/de/feed/futteradditive/adccon-xl-20-fuer-oelmuehlen/  or contact your local ADDCON representative who can help you ensure sustainably safe feed.
